In 2024, I was walking La Rambla in Barcelona. I came across a market stall where a man was selling the most beautiful chainmail jewellery. I was baffled. It was simplicity and complexity in a product at the same time. I was curious. I began to explore the art and history of chainmail techniques. At the time, I hadn’t made jewellery in years, but I was craving a creative outlet. A hobby—something to do with my hands. I love puzzles and I love silver. That walk was the beginning of a new chapter for me. I started to develop a concept for Tjeck—chains for all.
